Limity supervize u pracovníků v sociálních službách
MARTÍNKOVÁ, Nikola
The aim of the diploma thesis was: "To identify what limits perceive supervisors at group supervision meetings of social workers in social services." The main research question was: "What are the limits of supervision of social workers from the perspective of supervisors?" A qualitative research strategy, a method of questioning and a semi-structured interview technique were chosen. To achieve the goal, the main research question was divided into areas: identification (6 partial research questions), formal requirements of supervision (2 partial research questions), supervision (4 partial research questions) and benefits of supervision limits (2 partial research questions). The research group consisted of supervisors associated under the Czech Institute for Supervision (ČIS). Taking into account the set strategy, 6 interviews (snowball method) were conducted, which already showed that the sample had been saturated. In order to be involved, the involved informants were required to provide supervisory services in the field of social work and to have at least one year of experience. The interviews were recorded on a dictaphone, from which a verbatim transcript was made. I subsequently coded the transcripts transcribed in this way (processed by the cluster method). Within the first area, i.e., identification, there were identified these clusters: the humanities direction of education, supervision training, psychotherapeutic training and preparation for limits. Within the second area, i.e., the formal requirements of supervision, the following clusters can be specified: contracting, formal limits, content limits, supervisor under supervision. In the area of supervision, which was identified as the third area, I present the following identified clusters: self-reflection, naming limits and ethical aspects. The last, fourth area, i.e., the benefits of supervision, brought the following clusters: personal development, re-contracting, emotional intelligence. The results of the thesis can be used in the training of supervisors, or for the development of already qualified supervisors in practice.
Final Report for Project Publish and Flourish: Publication Activity Support for PhD Students and their Supervisors
Kašpárková, A. ; Etchegoyen Rosolová, Kamila
The project TL01000274 was investigated from March 2018 to November 2021 by two workplaces, VŠB-TUO and Centre for Academic Writing (CAP) with the Czech Language Institute, Czech Academy of Sciences. The goals of the project were to develop a system of supportive mechanims for academic writing and PhD student publication activities in English at VŠB-TUO. The project goals were met and the system has the form of blended-learning courses of Writing for Publication for PhD students, workshops for supervisors, two-semester teacher training and a teaching manual for future teachers in Writing for Publication courses. All the parts of the system are interconnected, and inter alia, led to the establishment of the so-called PhD Academy (doctoral school). This way, VŠB-TUO started working towards a systemic change through a university-wide support for PhD student publication activities in the form of courses provided by scientific writing specialists and also experts from the VŠB-TUO University Library. The expected outcome is improved PhD students' research and communication skills, which shall lead to less painful publication and distribution of supervisors' mentoring resposibilites among more actors.

Vrabcová, Kateřina ; Filipová, Alena (advisor) ; Zeman, Jiří (referee)
In the diploma thesis I was dealing with the issue of food safety in the Czech Republic and labeling of meat products. In the practical part were carried out two surveys, public opinion poll and survey of proper labeling of meat products. Opinion polls were attended by 462 consumers and analysis of proper labelling was subjected to 489 meat products in select retail chains in Prague. Survey results of labeling of meat products were not very positive, but can be expected to improve, as well as enhancing food safety.
